The position consists in managing research projects for industry by closely working with master and PhD students, research engineers, and the technical team if the project is experimental, but also develop proposals for new research projects.
2015 – present: Adjunct Faculty: Mary Kay O’Connor Process Safety Center (MKOPSC) Texas A&M University
Continuing the collaboration with the Center by mentoring PhD and master student and visiting twice a year. Students research topics are related to gas and fluid dynamics (influence of random obstacles on deflagration to detonation transition, secondary dust explosion, flare design, cavitation in pipeline ruptures, LNG pool boiling and pool fire) or in risk assessment (leading indicator development related to drilling safety, and resilience engineering, human factors in offshore risk assessment).

The position consists in writing proposals for funding research, working with graduate students on their research as well as overseeing their day-day duties for their dissertation/thesis research, develop presentations on specific process safety engineering topics and represent the research center at professional meetings to industry and other interested groups.

Experimental characterization and modeling of Hazards: BLEVE and Boilover (funded by CEA Gramat, France). Laboratory scale experiments of BLEVE and Boilover performed to better understand the apparition criteria and consequences of these accidents. Modeling of the phenomenon and their hazards based on comparison of the experimental results with literature models.
