Stefan-Maxwell relations for multicomponent two-temperature plasmas are considered for the case of ambipolar diffusion. It is shown that additional diffusion driving force proportional to  appears in two-temperature plasmas, where Te is electron temperature and Th is gas temperature. For three-species plasma diffusion Fick’s law is generalized.

As an application, the structure of shock wave in weakly ionized thermally nonequilibrium argon analyzed. For the case Te/Th >> 1 strong precursor zone in terms of ion mass fraction and ambipolar electric field is predicted.
