Efficient conceptual design of aircraft

The presentation will start with a brief description of the design process. Then the conceptual design will be detailed. We will pay attention to the importance of this particular stage of the design process. In order to be as clear as possible, we will use the software package ADS, specifically developed for an education purpose, to describe in detail the different steps of the conceptual design, why it must be performed with a very high accuracy and how to perform it efficiently.

ADS is one of the most user-friendly and accurate software packages dedicated to take the designer through the entire aircraft conceptual design process. ADS can handle light aircraft, UAV and commuter category aircraft of any configuration. ADS can be used either to design a new aircraft from scratch, or to design modifications to existing aircraft. ADS is used all over the world, by leading aerospace companies, Universities and individuals.
