EMBRAER has become a major player in the regional jet evolution. The speaker, through his long and high level aerospace career, his continuous relationship with EMBRAER and his management of several Brazilian subsidiaries of SONACA (of which some are joint ventures with EMBRAER), is in an excellent position to evaluate the evolution of the EMBRAER product. He will evaluate the early nineties commuter industry and describe the 50 seat regional jet “credo” as well as the strong evolution of the regional jet. How did EMBRAER become a major player in this segment, what has been the EMBRAER portfolio development and its technological evolution? The Belgian participation to the EMBRAER programs (SONACA and ASCO) will also be highlighted.

After the speaking, a drink will be offered by the VKI.
