The 4^thEuropean Coating Symposium ECS'2001 will take place on October 1-4, 2001 at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium. Following ECS'95 at the University of Leeds, UK, ECS'97 at the University of Strasbourg, France and ECS'99 at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, ECS'2001 will bring together specialists from industry and academia all over the world, who share an active interest in coating processes. It will be the first important European scientific activity of the third millennium gathering experts in the field of coating.

"Advances in Coating Processes" is the subject of this 4^th symposium and therefore it will provide a platform for the presentation of new results from fundamental and applied research as well as industrial developments in the field of coating. The program will include oral presentations and industrial round tables. Software and equipment exhibition will be organised.
