Pricing

The VKI, aims to reflect the most accurate information on book prices at all times. We will make all reasonable efforts to present accurate information but we cannot guarantee the price or our ability to supply any particular book.
All prices are displayed in euro (€) on our website, www.vki.ac.be.

VAT

To comply with current VAT distance selling regulations, we charge for deliveries in Belgium the applicable the Belgian applicable VAT rate, within the EU the Belgian applicable VAT rate for orders coming from customers without a VAT number. No VAT is due on deliveries outside the EU.

Customers in VAT exempt territories within the EU

Unfortunately, our system is not yet able to distinguish VAT exempt territories within the EU, such as the Canary Islands and so customers will be charged VAT when placing an order. Customs Charges

If you are ordering goods for delivery outside of the EU, please note that your consignment may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the goods reach the country of destination. Any such charges levied in relation to customs clearance
must be borne by you. It is accepted by you that the VKI has no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance. VKI recommends that you check with your local customs officials or post office for more information regarding importation taxes/duties that may be applicable to your online order.

Contract

When you place an order to purchase a product from VKI, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we send e-mail confirmation to you that we've dispatched that product to you (the "Dispatch Confirmation E-mail"). That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the Dispatch Confirmation E-mail to you. Any products on the same order which we have not confirmed in a Dispatch Confirmation E-mail to have been dispatched do not form part of that contract.

Privacy and Registration

Whether you register for one lecture, ask to be added to our mailing list or make a purchase, VKI can always ask you to complete a basic profile of yourself.

VKI uses the contact details and interest areas you disclose on your profile to communicate with you as follows:

• materials and communications related to your lectures attendance (e.g. pre-course information, evaluations) and updates (articles, reports, surveys, networking events) can be send to you via email
• postal address details can be used to keep you informed of VKI activities and to send invoices for the lectures you attended or orders you made.
  The interest areas you indicate on your profile determine the type and number of communications you will receive. These will come to you infrequently.

VKI recognizes the concern of our customers regarding privacy of information. All information you give toVKI is stored securely, and is not accessible to other users. Rest assured that any information you give to VKI will not be distributed to any other company outside of the VKI, unless you give us your express consent.

Refunds and Returns

VKI operates a 'no questions asked' returns policy providing you return your book within 7 working days of the delivery of your order. This policy is in accordance with the EU Distance Selling Regulations. A full refund will be given for the returned items, providing they are in their original condition, however, any postage costs incurred when returning your items will be at your own cost.

After the 'no questions asked' 7 day period we will be happy to accept items for return in any of the following cases:

• The item was found to be damaged or faulty.
  We will either replace the item or give you a full refund (including postage costs). Please state which option you prefer. If you require a replacement, we will wait to receive the faulty copy from you before dispatching a new one.
• The item was incorrectly supplied.
  If we have made a mistake in fulfilling your order, a full refund (including postage costs) will be given.
• Non Delivery
  If you do not receive goods ordered by you within 30 days of the date on which they were dispatched to you, IVK shall have no liability to you unless you notify VKI within 40 days of the date on which the goods were dispatched to you.

VKI reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, and/or cancel transactions in its discretion, if VKI believes that customer conduct is in violation or breach of any applicable law or VKI’s terms and conditions, or is harmful to the interests of VKI. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. Contracts are established at time of dispatch.
