Students of the contributing countries (Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Turkey, The Netherlands and the United States of America) are welcome to the session of their choice at their best convenient time.
Dear graduate and undergraduate students,
Since many years, your countries* contribute to the financing of the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics in Belgium, near Brussels (VKI).
This gives you, graduate and undergraduate students, the opportunity to enroll in short-duration specializations in fluid dynamics, essential research's field which contributes to the scientific development of your country in several domains as aerospace, turbomachinery, industrial processes, environment (including atmospheric flow, renewable energy and pollutions and explosions) and fluids engineering and measurement.
The von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics invites you to attend the online info session of your choice.
We will present the VKI Academic programmes
- Research Master in Fluid Dynamics (Master-after-master level) for graduate students
- Short Training Programme from two to six months for undergraduate students and for PhD
- Doctoral and Post-doctoral opportunities
Alumni and a current student will share their experience with you.

Note that VKI fellowships are also available and there is no tuition fee for students of the citizens of *Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Turkey, The Netherlands and the United States of America.
You will have access to a fleet of wind tunnels covering all regimes, from low subsonic to hypersonic flow and will have a free access to the internationally renowned VKI Lecture Series, a lifelong learning program. You will be part of a huge network of top-level scientists and top managers all over the world and in the research departments of industry and university (Airbus, Automotive, General Electric, Rolls-Royce, Siemens, Caltech, MIT, Safran, SINTEF, NTNU, IFE ...), in government agencies and international research centers (ESA, DLR, NASA, ONERA, ...), or pursue their education in a doctoral programme.
