This virtual conference (International Forum for Aviation Research) takes place as a self-standing internet conference within the VKI PhD symposium held from 11 - 13 March 2015 at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics.

If you would like to attend any IFAR Young Researcher Network event, please log onto IFARlink (https://ifarlink.aero/) or register as a new user. Information for access to the event using the AdobeConnect platform will become available a few weeks in advance of the event. Additionally, a number of presenters at the events will be hosting guided discussion opportunities in advance and following their presentations, in order to foster greater collaboration. AIM
The aim of this virtual conference on "PhD research in Aviation Fluid Dynamics" is to stimulate technical and scientific interaction between young researchers of the IFAR Partner organizations and associated universities.
It will be interactive and participation is free. The question-answer session will be accessible from participating IFAR organizations and partner universities.
A keynote lecture will be given by Dr. Jaiwon Shin form NASA. Three PhD researchers at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics will present their ongoing research work related to IFAR activities related to safety, engine noise production and aerodynamical optimization.
WHO MAY PARTICIPATE IN
The internet conference is in the first place directed to young researchers from IFAR organizations and partner universities, but the event will also be open to researchers, professors and colleagues from other universities and research organizations.
