Publication of an open database of a new experimental test case for high-speed low-pressure turbines, codename SPLEEN C1

We are happy to announce that we have published our open database of a new experimental test case for high-speed low-pressure turbines, codename SPLEEN C1!
The database is available on Zenodo at https://zenodo.org/record/7264762

The open-access database reports the experimental data of the flow over a high-speed low-pressure turbine cascade.
The first version of the database includes cascade measurements with a steady inflow. Soon we will also publish measurements with the cascade exposed to incoming unsteady wakes and with upstream endwall cavity flow injection.

The data have been collected at von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics in the period 2018-2022 within the H2020 Clean Sky 2 project SPLEEN (Secondary and Leakage Flow Effects in High-Speed Low-Pressure Turbines) in collaboration with Safran Aircraft Engines (https://www.h2020-spleen.eu/ and https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/820883).

If you want to know more about the project SPLEEN and high-speed low-pressure turbines, don’t miss the three-day workshop to take place (online) on Nov 21-23, 2022. Have a look at the program here, registration is free.
