From Brussels Airport (Zaventem) you can reach VUB campus Etterbeek by train or by bus (bus 12). A taxi from the airport will cost you aproximately 29 EUR. Our campus is located next to the railway station "Etterbeek". Other public transport alternatives include subway, tram and bus.

Some additional information

If you come by metro:

Easiest is to take the metro to station Petillon. In the metro station, coming from the center, take the exit on your left. Outside (Vrijwilligerslaan or Avenue des Volontaires) go to the right and always straight ahead. After about 500m you will cross Waversesteenweg (traffic lights), go straight and enter Schoofslaan (small street). After 100m you will cross Triomflaan (traffic lights) and you will be on the VUB campus at entrance 7 (see 3D map at http://www.vub.ac.be/english/infoabout/campuses/etterbeek.html). Building D is indicated on the map. You can also go to entrance 6 and follow the signs “Infopunt” which are all over the campus and will bring you close to building D. Once at building D, signs with SIMBIO will indicate where to go.

If you come by car:

Take entrance 6 or entrance 13. You will have to scan a barcode to enter at the posts of the entrance. This barcode is also on the website; please print it out and hold it in front of the scanner at the entrance. In case of problems you can always call the security at the entrance and mention you come for the SIMBIO conference organized by prof. Lacor. Park your car in the parking of Q-D. This is to the right just before building Q (if you come from entrance 6; if you come from entrance 13 to the left just after passing building Q). At the entrance of the parking to the left there is a stairway. After parking your car, take this stairway (following signs Aula Q) until you are in the open air, go to the right and take the entrance of building D to your right. Go straight and take the stairs 1 level down where the registration is.

People coming by taxi can get out at entrance 6 and follow the “Infopunt” signs.

If you come by subway:

Subways, trams and buses in Brussels are run by the MIVB. Subwaystations "Petillion" and "Delta" are closest to the Campus (+/- 15 minutes walk). Download the Brussels City Subway Map
