Pierre ProulxDuring one year, he will collaborate with Prof. Patrick Rambaud, Mr Jean-Baptiste Gouriet and Mrs Silviana Lopes on a nanoparticle technology project sponsored by the Walloon region. Their research will focus on the modeling of two-phase flows based on the population balance equations and the method of moments.

Prof. Proulx has started his collaboration with the von Karman Institute in 2008 during a course on “Plasmachemistry" held at the University of Liège. During his stay, he was invited to give a seminar on "Plasma synthesis of nanoparticles" at VKI. In 2009, he was lecturer at the VKI Lecture Series on Modeling and Computation of Nanoparticles in Fluid Flows. In 2012, the VKI graduate student Silvania Lopes has spent 6 months in the group of Prof. Proulx at the University of Sherbrooke.
