The ONLINE programing course shows the how-to for the most common programming issues in OpenFoam® covering the implementation of new solver, adding own boundary conditions, modifying turbulence models and defining user-specific utilities. During these programing experiences the participants will get familiar with the highly templated language of OpenFoam®, with the difference of static and dynamic linking.
Basic knowledge of setting up and running OpenFoam® cases is requested in order to be able to follow the course efficiently!

The citizens of the following countries are eligible to attend the von Karman Institute Lecture Series:

- Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Cabo Verde, Cameroon, Chile, Colombia, Japan, India, Indonesia, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mauritania, Mexico, Montenegro, Mozambique, New Zealand, Nigeria, Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, Thailand, Uruguay, South-Africa and Vietnam.
VKI reserves the right to request a clearance check with Belgian authorities.
The participants will have to present their ID card (for EU citizens) or passport (for other citizens) the first day of the lecture series.
Fee and Registration
Early bird registration, before 25 January 2021:
- Academy – 315 €
- Non-academy – 378 €
Registration after 25 January 2021:
- Academy – 350 €
- Non-academy – 420 €
The price includes the course material, lunches and coffee breaks.
Cancellation fee: 30% till 1 week before, 50% later on.
NOTE: No additional material or equipment is needed for the course. The participants will receive the course note as well as have the possibility to use the workstations in the classroom. Please note, that the number of participants is limited to 10!
