IDRIS is located 25 km south-west of Paris on the campus of the Science University of Orsay (Université Paris-Sud 11), on the border of the Plateau de Saclay, close to the campus of Ecole Polytechnique.

Accommodation

A fair number of rooms will be available in the on-campus guesthouse, which provides basic comfort and breakfast, immediately adjacent to the main building.

An ever growing number of hotels is located in the vicinitiy of the campus, between Palaiseau and Orsay.

If you pick a hotel in Paris, you should look for a place that is close to the RER B line.

Registration to the lecture series only (26-27 September 2016)

For PhD candidates and undergraduate students: The request to be considered for a discount must accompany the application to attend the Lecture Series, and the applicant must provide a recommendation letter from his or her professor; if not, the request will not be taken into consideration. All possible alternative sources of funding should be investigated before aid is requested under this scheme, so that those most in need will benefit.
